Ocean

By Emily Owens, age 13

Ocean

When the sun sets over the ocean,
I love to see the water in motion.
I see the water crashing up against the land,
It is cool and refreshing as i walk upon the sand.
The islands queit, and the oceans warm,
The sun came out after the storm.
I can hear the ocean as it roars,
shells are gathering upon the shore.
Waters cool and so unusually clear,
About a mile away i can see the pier.
The loading dock bell will start to ring,
As the beautiful birds will start to sing.
The day is over and the sun will be gone,
I say goodbye and i'll see u at dawn.
Ilove the site it's like a love potion,

-a poem inspired by my teacher
