Hello
By Jessica Woollas, age 12

Sorry I'm late Sir. My name is Synthia and I was late for school this morning. I'll tell you what happened if you want?... Ah so you want to hear. Here we are then. I walked into my class at Wilfred School at 9:00. We normally start at 8:30. Straight away Sir said "Why are you late Synthia? Tell me the truth. I don't want any lies!" Well, like I was going to tell the truth. He wouldn't believe me whatever I said. Well I said "When I woke up this morning I realised my left leg wasn't attached to my body so I went hopping around in search for it and there it was. In the bath having a soak. I took it out and dried it and attached it back on. After that I had breakfast, got changed you know the usual stuff then my arm flew out of my socket and down the stairs. So I went down the stairs and there it was watching the telly. I picked it up and placed it back on and set off to school. Suddenly my legs just went in slow motion and would hardly even walk and that's why I'm late sir." By the end of that the whole class were laughing apart from sir who was tutting."I don't believe a word of that and now that you have wasted my time of teaching the class I'm giving you half an hour detention and a phone call home" he said to me. What's that your saying? What was the truth? I'll tell you. My alarm went off late that was all. Well I'm gonna have to say bye now so... bye.
