.Eliane’s sleepover tips
by Elaine, age 11.

When the sun goes down and darkness unfolds its fan
It’s time to start your plan
Get your friend over quick
It’s time to hear my sleepover tip:
First you must ban
Any big or little brother if you can
Get up quickly, chop chop chop
And go to the video shop
Put the TV in your room
And now you will have to have supper soon
You can eat what you want but pancakes is what I recommend
Eat them in your bed but be careful not to drive your parents round the bend
Go downstairs and make an elephant size bag of popcorn
Run upstairs, put the movie on, I’m sure that you will not yawn
The movie has finished, but don’t worry the fun hasn’t stopped
Don’t go to sleep, not now, there’s still some time, a lot
Now gossip, share secrets and your deepest thought
Use “Girl 2 Girl”, I think you ought
Your parents have closed their bedroom door
But you not yet, it’s time to draw
Come on!  Ready for sleep
I think you are too tired to jump or leap…
Come on, it’s morning, the sun’s up high
Birds are singing and cars are passing by
You have still got time to play – come on, quick
I have to go now – that’s the end of my sleepover tip!
