I search,
For you
For your kind words,
Yet you have already spoken them,
To someone else,
I search,
For your warm smile and ringing laugh,
To cheer me up,
Yet now you laugh with another,
I search,
For your shoulder to cry on,
But someone else is crying a river on it,
I search,
For your warm embrace,
Yet all I feel is the empty grip of darkness,
I search,
For your comforting hand to clasp
My hand reaches out into the obscurity,
I search,
For your sparkling eyes,
To make me believe the world is not dark,
Yet you look at someone else.
I search,
For your helping hands,
To lift me up when I fall,
Now I stay down,
Your helping hands are busy.
I search,
For you to make me feel complete,
But am left torn in half,
I search,
For companionship,
My search will last forever,
And forever has no end
