Sharks and Other Seamonsters Competition Winner

Pentahorntraps got their name because they have five horns and five tentacles. It catches its prey by sinking into the sand and then prey will swim though the mouth on its back that is disguised as a coral reef and will be sucked up into his stomach and eaten. It will protect itself from predators by using its tentacles on its front. A Pentahorntrap can live five days if stranded on land. It can live up to ten years and grow up to five metres long. It feeds on fish such as clown fish and seahorses. It lives in underwater caves and lives in groups of round about three. It has no fins so it uses its tail and tentacles to swim. Its eyes have a perimeter of 20 centimetres and they do not close so he knows what's going on all the time even when he's sleeping.

Grace, aged 10.
