Adisa - performance poet and storyteller

AdisaAdisa means - "One who makes meanings clear". He fuses Performance Poetry with music and claims his inspiration comes from the unseen forces of nature. He has won the Apples & Snakes New Performance Poet of the Year award and travels around the world with his work. He also won the title of New Performance Poet 1994.

"Reading is fundamental because reading is knowledge, and knowledge is wisdom. We need more wise people!

Alex Haley's books Roots and The Autobiography of Malcolm X have been really influential on my life.

If I could read anyone's diary, I'd like to read Nelson Mandela's.

If I wrote a book, it would be a history book that children could relate to, using poetry to teach African history.

Children need to see the beauty in reading from an early age so that they can open their minds to the bigger picture of life."

"Reading is knowledge and knowledge is wisdom. We need more wise people!"
