If your child is participating in a RIF project, they will
choose two or three free books to keep over the year, and
will also receive a black drawstring bag to keep their books
in, a bookmark, stickers and bookplates to stick in each free
book. They will receive these books and goodies at two or
three fun events. You can find out more about RIF and how
our projects work in the About
RIF section of this site.
One of the most important things you can do is encourage
your child to read their RIF books or read them together as
a family. These books will be very special as they will be
what your child has chosen to read.
You can also help your child's project in a number of ways,
such as:
- being part of the book selection group
- helping at events (e.g. with refreshments or sharing stories
with the children)
- fundraising for more RIF projects.
Contact the person running the project (this may be your
child's teacher, a librarian or another adult) to find out
what kind of help they need.
